Garbage and Recycling
As of November 3, Dieppe will be responsible for garbage collection in the former LSDs of Greater Lakeburn and Scoudouc. Your collection day may therefore change on November 3. Consult the map that will be in effect on November 3 to find out if your collection day has changed.
The City of Dieppe offers garbage collection services to its residents. Residents must ensure that their garbage is placed at the curb no earlier than 6 p.m. on the evening before the scheduled pick-up day, and no later than 4 a.m. on the scheduled pick-up day.
Regular garbage collection |
Residential garbage collection takes place three days a week: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. To find out your collection day, enter your address in the search bar on the Eco360 page or download their mobile app. |
Collection schedule |
Check the collection schedule to see which colour bags are being picked up this week. |
3-Stream Program |
The City of Dieppe participates in the 3-Stream Program, which involves separating recyclable waste, which is placed in transparent blue bags, organic waste, which placed in transparent green bags, and garbage, which is placed in transparent clear bags. To find out which colour bag to place your garbage in, visit the website of Southeast Eco360, the organization responsible for managing solid waste in the region. Green bags are collected weekly, while blue and clear bags are collected every second week, in alternation. Compostable material from the green bags is processed and turned into a rich compost ideal for lawns and gardens. Our recycling program is now managed by Circular Materials, the administrator of the common collection system and a not-for-profit organization that is committed to building an efficient and effective recycling system in New Brunswick. Visit Circular Materials’ website for more information. |
