The Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre offers a broad range of programming and serves as a gathering place that promotes the community’s cultural vitality and reputation. It also strengthens the community’s cultural identity and facilitates the sharing of ideas and participation in local cultural activities.
The Centre is an innovative facility dedicated to promoting the arts, fostering creativity and encouraging participation in a variety of artistic disciplines. There are studios for pottery, sculpture, ceramics and painting. There is also a gallery for exhibits by visiting artists and artists in residence.
One of the most important features is a community space for young local talent and other lesser-known artists to exhibit their work. The Centre is also home to a dance school, music school, community radio station, book store and the Salon du livre de Dieppe.
The facility’s crowning jewel is its auditorium, La Caserne. The auditorium is equipped with modern sound equipment and technology, seats 224 people and hosts a variety of activities, ranging from intimate performances to conferences, presentations and workshops. The venue can accommodate any kind of event.
The Centre is fully accessible thanks to an elevator that services all floors.
