Back to SearchDIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe is proud to announce that nominations for its volunteer recognition evening, Les Chalins, are now being accepted. Les Chalins is an awards evening organized by the City to highlight outstanding contributions to community life and achievements by volunteers in seven categories. The municipality is preparing a colourful and rallying gala for the volunteers and their guests to mark the second edition of the event.
“We’re looking forward to celebrating our Chalins, or flashes of warmth, in style at the Wingate hotel,” says community officer Jonathan Desroches. “It’s important to come together and highlight the contribution of our many volunteers to our growing community and the positive impact they have on the quality of life of our residents.”
Three finalists will be nominated in each category, and a winner will be chosen from among them.
Members of the public and community organizations are invited to nominate individuals who have done outstanding volunteer work over the past year for a prize in one of the following categories:
- Seniors
- Sports and recreation
- Francophonie and culture
- Environment
- Community involvement
- Involvement by a newcomer
- Youth involvement
The deadline for submitting nominations is Wednesday, March 20, at 11:59 p.m. (Atlantic time). The rules and eligibility criteria, as well as the nomination form, can be found at dieppe.ca/en/chalins
A selection committee will evaluate all nominations received. The finalists and their families will be invited to the Les Chalins gala on April 17.
