A full program for the 41st Dieppe Friendship Carnival
DIEPPE, N.B. — Dieppe will be in a festive mood during the Friendship Carnival, from February 3 to 5, with more than 40 activities held across the municipality. The official opening, featuring the group Old School, will take place on Friday, February 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Place 1604. There will also be bonfires and hot chocolate.
"New and exciting this year is an Inukshuk trail and an ice castle created by Festival Inspire artists to commemorate Canada's 150thanniversary," explained Gabrielle Maillet, Community Officer for the City of Dieppe.
Most activities are free and will take place at St-Anselme Rotary Park. Go to dieppe.ca or obtain the official program for details.
A few events to highlight: L’ours qui n’avait pas de cœur, a family production by Le Pays de la Sagouine, will be presented at the Arts and Culture Centre on Saturday, February 4 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $7.50. There will also be fireworks at Rotary St-Anselme Park on Saturday, February 4 at 6:30 p.m., followed by a campfire with guest artist Félix Belliveau, and an interactive light show by Festival Inspire.
