Leisure Day in Dieppe
DIEPPE, NB – The City of Dieppe will celebrate Leisure Day on Saturday, June 24, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a number of free activities at Rotary St‑Anselme Park.
"This day is an opportunity for us to highlight Leisure Month, which is aimed at promoting leisure activities and the people who organize them. It is also the kick-off for our summer events programming," emphasized Sonya Babineau, Community Officer for the City of Dieppe.
As part of the program, attend the reopening of the BMX track, which was entirely revamped by the Dieppe BMX volunteers. There will be introductory BMX courses and bikes and helmets will be available for rental.
You can borrow books at the on‑site mobile library and go on a book hunt on the paths of Rotary St‑Anselme Park.
Everyone is invited to grab their running shoes and come take part in the friendly horseshoe, washer toss, shuffleboard and petanque competitions. Instructors will be on site to explain the rules of the games.
Several physical activities such as stretching, walking and outdoor yoga are also planned. A healthy snack will be provided and sculpted balloons will be handed out to children.
