A host of activities at the Dieppe Winter Carnival
Get ready for a fun-filled weekend at the Dieppe Winter Carnival, February 7–9, presented by UNI! Enjoy the fresh air or keep warm, thanks to a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
An opening ceremony will kick off the festivities at Place 1604 on February 7, during Fun on ice. As well, be sure to check out comedian Derek Seguin’s show (in English) that night at the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre.
Saturday’s events at the Rotary St-Anselme Park will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Families will be able to enjoy the cool winter air with activities such as a washer toss competition, courtesy of the Rotary Club, or fireworks display later that evening. For those who would rather keep warm indoors, you will be able to play board games and enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate. Offered at École Sainte-Thérèse will be craft workshops, inflatable games and a showing of the movie Abominable (in French with English subtitles – popcorn included.
On Sunday, the Rotary Club will host its traditional community breakfast. Tickets are $5, kids eat free. More activities will take place at the St-Anselme Park , such as outdoor wall-climbing, board games and a life-size foosball game. Art lovers will also enjoy a painting on canvas workshop.
