A Colourful Sky for the 3rd Edition of the ImaginAIR Festival
The 2019 ImaginAIR Festival, featuring kites, will be held at Dover Park from July 26 to 28. There will be a wide range of kite- and circus-related activities as well as musical performances for all ages.
Over 80 local and international kite fliers will amaze festival goers this year. On site, there will be kite creation workshops, running of the bowls races, Rokkaku combats and roving circus performers. The Bimana troupe is back with its solar balloons and giant puppets that are lit up to entertain the entire family. On Saturday evening, don’t miss the Circus Stella fire show, the night flight and fireworks presented by UNI—fully lit up, spectacular performances.
On Sunday, a super family picnic is scheduled with a treasure hunt and giant games. There will also be a huge water fight with circus artists and kite fliers. Be prepared for a clown invasion!
Music by DJ Madness will add to the on-site atmosphere throughout the three days and a variety of musical performances will also be presented. These will include Josée and Mathieu with their popular songs as well as Bobcaygeon, a Tragically Hip tribute band while Razzmatazz will delight the children.
“We are very pleased with the variety of activities and with the number of kite fliers who accepted our invitation to the ImaginAIR Festival this year. The first two festivals were a smashing success, and we are sure that people will come again to enjoy all the entertainment that we will be offering them. The public’s reaction is always positive when they talk about the festival and share their experiences, so we are expecting even more visitors this year,” said Gabrielle Maillet, Community Officer with the City of Dieppe.
