Work at the pumping station in the Industrial Park
DIEPPE (NB) — The City of Dieppe will soon undertake work at the pumping station in the Industrial Park that provides drinking water to several areas in the municipality.
Residents and businesses affected by the work are mainly located to the east of Industrial, Thomas, Fortune, Lafrance, Larochelle, Bonaventure and Wilfred streets, Marc André Court and Bourque Road. Please refer to the attached map for more details. The first part of the work will take place on Thursday, August 17, unless anything unexpected should arise. You will receive a second notice for the rest of the work, which will take place in September.
The work consists mainly of replacing certain equipment and is essential to maintain the quality of service.
During this period, you may notice a drop in pressure and a slight colouration in the water. If this is the case, run your cold-water tap until the water becomes clear. Please also check the water colour before using your washing machine to avoid discolouring your laundry. Unless otherwise specified, coloured water does not pose any danger to your health.
If your building has an automatic sprinkler system, a drop in pressure may set off the alarm. We recommend that you contact your alarm system supplier to inform them of the work in your area.
During this work, we encourage residents to limit watering of lawns, asphalt and gardens, and washing of cars in order to maintain an adequate pressure level in the system.
We regret the inconvenience caused by this work and we thank you for your co-operation.
