Work at Rotary Park entrance
DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise residents that work at the Rotary St-Anselme Park entrance will begin on Monday, May 15, and end by early July. Vehicles will not be permitted on the access road to the park during this period due to the construction and to ensure the safety of workers and pedestrians.
Visitors will be able to park at the Arthur J. LeBlanc Centre during construction. The AJL Centre is located just across the street from the park entrance.
This important project will improve the road surface and safety for pedestrians and cyclists, as the demand for this community facility has been growing for a number of years.
Due to high traffic volumes at Rotary St-Anselme Park during the summer, work will begin as early as possible in the road construction season to minimize the impact on users.
The existing road surface, which is in very poor condition, will be refurbished, a new curb and storm sewer system will be installed, and a paved multi-purpose trail will be built. The work will help facilitate access for active transportation and reduce the speed of automobile traffic.
As the road construction season begins, the City wishes to remind the general public to be aware of workers and to exercise caution around construction sites.
The City regrets any inconvenience this work may cause and appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents as this infrastructure improvement project is carried out.
