Recommended preparations:

- NEVER use a generator indoors, in a garage, or in a carport. Place it at least 6 meters away from your home, far from doors and windows.
- Limit your travel. If travel is necessary, adjust your driving to road conditions.
- Do not park curbside to allow for efficient snow removal.
- Be cautious around snowplows and keep a safe distance.
- Clear snow from your fire hydrant to ensure quick access in case of fire.
- Keep your emergency exits clear to ensure a safe evacuation in case of emergency.
