National Public Works Week 2016
DIEPPE, N.B. – The City of Dieppe will be taking part in the National Public Works Week from May 15-21, under this year’s theme “Public Works - Always there”.
The week provides an opportunity to highlight the work carried out by the City of Dieppe’s Public Works Department staff, but especially the impact they have on the quality of our residents’ everyday life. Come out and enjoy the free activities!
- Saturday May 7 – Kiosk inside the Dieppe Market where you’ll find ideas on water conservation. Prize draw!
- Saturday, May 14 – Heavy machinery exhibit at the Dieppe Market, 232 Gauvin Road, starting at 7 a.m. Come take an up close look at our heavy machinery! Do to have questions about water conservation? You’ll find your answers at the display of different water conservation products.
- Wednesday, May 18 – Open house from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Operations Centre, 100 Rufin Street. Come take a look at the equipment, ask questions to the Public Works employees, add your name for a prize draw. Why not finish your tour by satisfying your hunger with a free BBQ? BBQ served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Thursday, May 19 – Water tower open house, 1464 Amirault Street, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Come experience the inside of the water tower and gain a better understanding of how water comes out of your tap.
- During the week: Visit of grade two students from École Amirault to the water tower and visits at the Operation Centre for daycares.
