National Francophone Immigration Week
Dieppe is proud to join forces with its many community partners to offer a series of activities and events as part of National Francophone Immigration Week from November 5 to 11, 2023.
National Francophone Immigration Week is celebrated across the country and is an opportunity to honour the rich cultural diversity and contributions of immigrants to francophone and Acadian communities.
In keeping with the Dieppe’s goal of becoming the destination of choice for French-speaking immigrants to the Atlantic region, and its commitment to fostering inclusion and a sense of belonging, the City is proud to present the program listed below.
The municipality would also like to take this opportunity to thank the community organizations that have made the program possible.

Screening of the documentary entitled Seuls
Fearing for their lives, Afshin, Alain and Patricia left their country without their parents when they were just children. They had to start all over again here in Canada, in the hope of a better life. A blend of live action and animation, Seuls is all about hope: how do children rebuild their lives in a new country after leaving everything behind? The screening will be followed by an audience discussion moderated by Miriam PAPHIUS, a project officer with the Réseau en immigration francophone du Nouveau-Brunswick, in collaboration with Christian Camilleri, Immigration, diversity and inclusion Coordinator for the City of Dieppe. Limited seating; first come, first served. Free admission, bring your water bottles. |
