Back to school and traffic
This year’s back-to-school season will be very different. As young people head back to school, increased traffic on the municipality’s roads is to be expected, given the change in parents’ travel habits due to the measures imposed to limit the spread of COVID-19.
We remind you to allow more time for travel at the start of the school year, and especially to be very careful on the roads.
During the school year, the speed limit in the school zones of Sainte-Thérèse, Lou MacNarin, Anna-Malenfant, Amirault, Antonine-Maillet and Le Marais schools is reduced to 30 km/hour. Watch for school buses and children walking and stop your vehicle when buses activate their flashing red lights.
Happy back-to-school season!
