Reconstruction of a Section of Gauvin Road
The City of Dieppe would like to inform residents that it will be undertaking the reconstruction of Gauvin Road, between Collège and Marché streets, starting Tuesday, April 22. During construction, which will continue until August, this section of Gauvin Road will be completely closed to traffic. The work will include the replacement of the City’s water distribution, storm sewer and sanitary sewer systems, the renewal of curbs and gutters, sidewalks and asphalt.
The project also includes the addition of a multi-use trail on Marché Street, between Acadie Avenue and Gauvin Road.
As part of the project, three trees of interest and nine other trees will need to be removed. A certificate of authorization has been issued by the Environment Department, and 30 new trees, each with a minimum height of 6.5 feet, will be planted on site.
Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists. Please allow extra travel time or consider using an alternate route when possible.
The City regrets any inconvenience this work may cause and appreciates your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our infrastructure.
