Tree planting program
DIEPPE, N.B. — The tree planting program that aims at making our city a greener place is open to residents until Friday, March 31. This program offers mature trees at a very reasonable cost to residents who do not have trees in front of their homes.
Eligibility requirements:
- One tree per residence;
- There can be no existing trees on the land in front of the home;
- There must be sufficient space to plant the tree and to ensure it has enough space to grow;
- A $50 fee must be paid by the homeowner, which corresponds to less than 30% of the cost to purchase the tree;
- The tree must only be planted on the land located in front of the house.
If your application is accepted, city employees will contact you to determine what kind of tree can be planted on your lot based on available space and the availability of tree species.
To obtain a tree, you must fill out an application form before March 31, at dieppe.ca. The program is on first-come, first-served basis.
