First spring registration in Dieppe
DIEPPE, N.B. — This year, for the first time, the City of Dieppe invites residents to its community spring group registration taking place on Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Arthur-J.-LeBlanc Centre.
“Parents will have the opportunity to register their children for spring and summer activities all in one location,” said Sonya Babineau, Community Officer for Associations and Youth, City of Dieppe. “We will be giving this process a try following several recommendations from parents and community groups.”
Groups taking part in the registration include: Goody’s Ball Hockey, Metro Minor Ball Hockey Association, Baseball Dieppe, Club de Soccer Dieppe, Extenso Rhythmic Gymnastics Club, Boys and Girls Club of Dieppe, and Tennis Dieppe.
“P.R.O. Kids will also be on site to help families that may need financial help to register for those activities,” said Marise Cormier, Community Officer responsible for P.R.O. Kids.
P.R.O. Kids is a community program which helps Dieppe and Memramcook children and youth ages 2-18 from families experiencing financial difficulties to participate in community, cultural and sport activities.
The program provides them with the opportunity to register for activities that otherwise would not be accessible due to a lack of financial resources or equipment, or due to a specific family situation.
