Clarifications on outdoor fireplaces
When is it permitted to make a fire in an outdoor fireplace in Dieppe? When:
- We are between the 3rd Monday of April and October 31
- You have a valid permit from the municipality
- The New Brunswick fire index allows category 1 fires
If all of these conditions are not met, it is not permitted to start a fire in an outdoor fireplace. We also remind you that during this pandemic period, you must comply with all orders from the provincial Declaration of a State of Emergency.
Note that it is not permitted to make a fire in Dieppe if it is not in an approved container (outdoor fireplace). To have your fireplace approved, you must apply for a permit by filling out the application form. Due to the pandemic, your request may take longer to process than usual. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
