Dieppe Community Clean-up is Back!
DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe is inviting residents to participate in an Earth Day community clean-up on Saturday, April 22. Take advantage of the activity to explore our parks and green spaces while also helping to beautify our environment.
To mark the occasion, Southeast Eco360 will be hosting a recycling information booth at Rotary St-Anselme Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 22. Free garbage bags and gloves (provided by Home Hardware) will be distributed to help with the clean-up.
And with Earth Day just around the corner, why not plant a tree? Spruce seedlings (small trees) will also be distributed by the municipality under the Dieppe tent at Rotary St-Anselme Park (same date and time as the Eco360 booth). First come, first served. Limit of one seedling per family.
The bags of litter collected can simply be left near a park trash can, along the edge of the trail, or at the places indicated by staff. City employees will be by to collect them.
In case of rain, the activity will be postponed to the same time the following day (Sunday, April 23).
Send a photo of your garbage collection efforts to evenement-event@dieppe.ca for a chance to win one of two prizes consisting of two bags of gardening soil, courtesy of Premier Tech, or a $150 gift certificate from Shoppers Drug Mart. The deadline to submit photos is Thursday, April 27, at 11:59 p.m. Visit dieppe.ca/earthday for contest rules.
