Earth Day Activities in Dieppe
DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe is inviting residents to participate in a community clean-up as part of Earth Day, which is celebrated on Friday, April 22. This is a perfect opportunity to give back to Mother Nature! Set aside your electronic devices for a few hours and come get some fresh air while picking up litter in our parks and along our trails.
To mark the occasion, Southeast Eco360 will be hosting a recycling information booth at Rotary St-Anselme Park on April 21 and 22 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Stop by and pick up some free garbage bags for the community clean-up.
And with Earth Day just around the corner, why not plant a tree? The City will also be on location at Rotary St-Anselme Park distributing spruce seedlings under a Dieppe branded tent (same dates and times as the Eco360 booth). First come, first served. Limit of one seedling per family.
Residents who pick up litter along the trails and in the parks on that weekend can simply leave the bags near a park trash can or along the edge of the trail. City employees will be by to collect the bags.
The City is marking Earth Day this year by asking its employees to either work from home on April 22 or to use public transit, carpooling or active transportation to get to work. The municipality has even registered with the Earth Day organization to become a 2022 “Municipalities Mobilizing” partner.
