Roadwork update
DIEPPE, NB — Here is an update on major roadwork projects currently underway in Dieppe.
Acadie Avenue
Work on a private property combined with episodes of heavy and sudden rainfall in recent weeks has affected the stability of one lane, heading toward Memramcook, between du Marché and Alain-Gillette Streets.
These issues have caused the closure of this lane. Stabilization work is currently underway, and the closed lane is expected to reopen to traffic by the end of October.
Fox Creek Road
Reconstruction work on Fox Creek Road is currently in progress and is expected to be completed by early November.
Gauvin Road
Good news! The new roundabout at the intersection of Lafrance Street and Gauvin Road is now open to traffic.
After several months of work, a new roundabout is now in place at this busy intersection. This change will improve traffic flow, especially during peak hours.
Please note that there will still be construction on Gauvin Road, between Blanchard Street and Pascal Avenue. During this work, which will continue until the end of October, lane reductions may occur.
The City reminds residents to slow down when approaching the roundabout and to yield to pedestrians and motorists already in the roundabout. For more information on roundabouts, visit our website. https://www.dieppe.ca/en/vivre-ici/carrefours-giratoires.aspx
The City regrets any inconvenience this work may cause and appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents.
