Fun on Ice Celebrates 10 Years
DIEPPE, NB —Dieppe’s Fun on Ice is back for a tenth year. Residents can enjoy winter activities geared to the whole family at Place 1604 every Friday starting at 6:30 p.m. from December 1 to March 1.
Launched in 2014, this winter gathering has introduced residents to local performers and livened up the downtown area. Skate and helmet rentals, DJs and live bands, bonfires and hot chocolate will all be on offer again this year.
The series is free of charge, with a view to allowing as many residents as possible to take part.
New this year: every Friday will have its own unique theme, such as Acadian Night or Disco Night. The themes will depend on the musical genre of the guest DJ or band, and the aim is to appeal to all tastes.
“It’s always heartwarming to know that despite the snow and cold, we can still get together and celebrate the joys of winter,” says Jérémie Robichaud, a community officer with the City. “Our goal is to celebrate the 10th edition in style, which is why we’ve added the themes. I challenge participants to dress for each theme!”
