Back to SearchDIEPPE, N.B. - The Éloizes will take place May 4-8 at various places in Dieppe. The public is invited to take part in the vast array of events intended to showcase the work of talented artists and to celebrate excellence in the arts.
Here are some of the activities on the agenda:
- Official opening at Dieppe City Hall with Caroline Savoie and Circus Stella on Wednesday, May 4 at 6 p.m.
- Expo-Éloizes at the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre withRémi Belliveau, Paul Édouard Bourque, Éveline Gallant Fournier, André Lapointe, Marie-Line Leblanc and Francine Francis, art exhibit on Wednesday, May 4 at 7 p.m.
- Cinéma Éloizes Guilda : Elle est bien dans ma peau by Julien Cadieux Thursday, May 5 at 12 p.m. at the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre (DACC)
- À la rencontre des imaginaires, Creators’ Circle show with Rémi Belliveau, Sophie Bérubé, Julie Duguay, Francine Hébert, Annik Landry and Michel Thériault, Thursday, May 5 at 8 p.m. at DACC
- Les étoiles filantes with Cy, Thursday, May 5 at 10 p.m. at Don Cherry’s Sports Grill
- Cinéma Éloizes Le goût des belvas by Stephanie David and Cafétéria by Francine Hébert Friday, May 5 at 12 p.m. at DACC
- La grande visite with Édith Butler Friday, May 6 at 2 p.m. at DACC
- Le festin littéraire with Sophie Bérubé, David Lonergan, Gracia Couturier and Gabriel Robichaud Friday, May 6 at 5 p.m. at the Aberdeen Cultural Centre
- La relève et la garde – cross-creations with Julien Cadieux, Mathieu Chouinard, Stephanie David, Julie Duguay, André Lapointe and Jean-François Mallet Friday, May 6 at 8 p.m. at DACC
- Les étoiles filantes with Vishtèn, Friday, May 6 at 10 p.m. at Don Cherry’s Sports Grill
- Samedi en famille with Circus Stella, Annik Landry, Gabriel Robichaud and Joannie Thomas at the Dieppe Market starting at 9 a.m.
- Cinéma Éloizes Les héritiers du club by Renée Blanchar Saturday, May 7 at 10 a.m. at DACC
- Léonard Forest, pioneering artist Saturday, May 7 at noon
- Post-Éloizes with Suroit, Saturday, May 7 at St. James Gate – Dieppe Fox Creek Golf Club
- Eucharist’art Sunday, May 8 at 9:30 a.m.
- Community breakfast Mother’s Day Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the Rotary St-Anselme Park pavilion
- Live public art creation with André Lapointe
- Two works of fiction presented during Cinéma 72, as well as many other activities
Soirée des Éloizes Gala broadcast on ICI Acadie and ICI ARTV
The incomparable Gala event, the Soirée des Éloizes, will take place on Saturday, May 7 at Dieppe’s Arthur-J.-LeBlanc Centre, beginning at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.). The Gala will be preceded by the Red Carpet event at 5:30 p.m. Hosting the evening will be Matthieu Girard, with music by Sebastien Michaud. The Soirée des Éloizes will be broadcast live at 7:30 p.m. on ICI Acadie, and rebroadcast the next day, Sunday, May 8, at 2 p.m. ICI ARTV.

Tickets for the Soirée des Éloizes, À la rencontre des imaginaires, Creators’ Circle, Festin littéraire and La relève et la garde can be purchased at the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre, Théâtre l’Escaouette, Loisirs socioculturels at Université de Moncton and Monument-Lefebvre. Tickets can also be purchase by calling 854.2787 or online at admission.com. Tickets for the Community Breakfast are available at Dieppe City Hall, the Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre and at the door on the day of the event. Admission is free for any activity where no prices are stated.
