Dieppe young leaders in action
DIEPPE, N.B. — The City of Dieppe’s Youth Action Committee has launched a milk bag recycling project to assist the people of Haiti.
The project`s goal is to collect plastic milk bags and transform them into mattresses, blankets, curtains, doors or even handbags.
“This is a great initiative by these young people,” said Sonya Babineau, a community officer with the City of Dieppe. “They never cease to surprise us with their ideas and can-do attitudes.”
Residents can take part in the project by dropping off bags (those containing three bags of milk) in dedicated bins located at the Dieppe Public Library or the Arthur-J.-LeBlanc Centre.
