Provincial Elections 2024
The City of Dieppe is working with the Union of the Municipalities of New Brunswick and the Association francophone des municipalités du Nouveau-Brunswick to make its voice heard during the provincial election campaign.
Dieppe has identified four priorities that it hopes to work closely on with the next government:
- Working in partnership with the province to improve our community and continue to make Dieppe a great place to live, work and raise a family.
- Implementing a new fiscal framework in response to local governance reform, so that we can properly discharge our new responsibilities.
- Working collaboratively to ensure a safe, quality place to live for all and obtaining provincial support to create an urban housing strategy that takes into account population growth and the needs of the most vulnerable.
- Fighting the rise in crime so that Dieppe continues to be a safe and stable community.
The City invited the candidates from the two ridings representing Dieppe (Shediac Bay-Dieppe and Dieppe-Memramcook) to the September 16 meeting of City Council to present their party’s electoral platform and discuss how they would further the City’s priorities. - Education
- Maintenance of provincial roads
- Health care
- Provincial taxes
- Official languages
- Provincial laws and courts
- Provincial parks
- Property and civil rights
- Natural resources
- Social services
The City of Dieppe encourages residents to vote on October 21. This is your opportunity to elect the person who will represent you and your interests at the provincial level. For more information on the upcoming provincial election, go to the Election NB website.
