Transit Service Moving to Higher-than-Pre-Pandemic Levels
DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe is proud to announce that public transit will be available on all routes, seven days a week, starting Sunday, September 3.
Fixed routes 93, 94 and 95 will offer higher service levels than before the pandemic, and all three routes will also run on Sundays—a first for Dieppe! The total number of service hours per week will rise to almost 300 for those routes.
The increase is part of a bold plan for the future of public transit in the municipality.
“By optimizing transit service, we aim to provide residents with an affordable and reliable alternative to automobiles for their travel needs, which fits with our ‘one home, one car’ vision,” said urban mobility director Jérémie Aubé.
The location of the transfer point at CF Champlain will also change on September 3. It will move from in front of the L.L. Bean to entrance number 8, near the Walmart. To learn more about the new schedules taking effect on Sunday, September 3, go to the Codiac Transpo website at codiactranspo.ca
With back-to-school starting next week, the City wishes to remind students that it offers free youth passes for residents under the age of 18, so they can use public transit within city limits. More details on the passes are available at dieppe.ca/bus
A reminder, as well, that a public consultation on new routes will be held in the coming months. Stay tuned by following the City on social media.
