Santa Claus visits Dieppe
DIEPPE, N.B. — More than 300 children are expected to attend Dieppe’s annual A Christmas Story event taking place at the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre on Sunday, December 9. Admission is free.
Children’s author Cindy Roy will act out the book Ernest et Célestine, Le Sapin de Noël at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Also in attendance will be Féeli Tout, a fairy with a paper skirt filled with letters and punctuation. She will also bring her red enchanted fairy boots and books filled with precious secrets to share. (Both readings will be in French.)
Santa Claus’s visit and an arts and crafts session will take place from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
Afterwards, the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre will present the film Kérity, la maison des contes, in the auditorium. Cost is $5 per person. (The film is in French only.)
Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for Food Depot Alimentaire.
