Spotlight on Wellness from October 1 to 7 in Dieppe
As part of Wellness Week, which will be held from October 1 to 7, the City of Dieppe invites you to participate in the many activities that will be taking place in the city. Reacquaint yourself with the facilities and the various sports offered there and take the opportunity to adopt new habits that will help you maintain an active and healthy life.
All week long, take advantage of the Aquatic Centre’s special tenth anniversary rate of $2 per child or $10 per family for public swims. In addition, the Dieppe Youth House will provide free access to the ball hockey and skateboard facilities for the week.
Here is the list of free activities organized during the week:
Tuesday, October 1
- Badminton at Lou MacNarin School. From 6:30 to 8 p.m. (14 and under) and from 8 to 10 p.m. (15 and over). Bring your badminton racket and sneakers.
Wednesday, October 2
- Family skating on the Olympic ice surface at the Arthur‑J.‑LeBlanc Centre from 4 to 5 p.m.
- Nutrition information session on the topic of tips and tricks for healthy lunch boxes with Julie Ouellet, dietician, at Dieppe Public Library from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Open to all; no registration required.
- Badminton at the Collège communautaire du Nouveau‑Brunswick from 6:30 to 8 p.m. (14 and under) and from 8 to 10 p.m. (15 and over). Bring your badminton racket and sneakers.
- Discover the BMX track at Rotary St‑Anselme Park, from 4 to 8 p.m. with Rémi Mansion. Bring your bicycle, helmet, a long‑sleeved shirt and pants and a bottle of water.
Thursday, October 3
- Introduction to Karate and self-defence with Kyokushin Karate Atlantic Canada, from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. in the cafeteria of École Sainte-Thérèse. No registration required. Children 4 years and older accompanied by a parent.
Friday, October 4
- Try the climbing wall at the Dieppe Boys and Girls Club between 6 and 9 p.m. Age 7 and over.
Saturday, October 5
- Introduction to scooter at Dieppe Youth House, from 1 to 2 p.m. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
- Family skating on the Olympic ice surface at the Arthur‑J.‑LeBlanc Centre from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m.
Monday, October 7
- Badminton at the Collège communautaire du Nouveau‑Brunswick from 6:30 to 8 p.m. (14 and under) and from 8 to 10 p.m. (15 and over). Bring your badminton racket and sneakers.
