ImaginAIR festival takes flight!
DIEPPE, NB — Kite flyers will be in for a treat from July 28 to 30 at Dieppe’s Dover Park. Participants from around the world and talented circus artists will take to the stage to entertain the crowds during the festivities.
The three-day family event will offer a host of activities on the theme of kites. Brilliant Labs, circus stilt walkers, POP balloon sculptors and Geomatrix will be on hand throughout the weekend. The musical line-up will include Art Richard, Daniel Goguen and the group, ABOiTEAU. Magician Rémi Boudreau will also put on a show to delight young and old alike.
“We’re excited to return to Dover Park this summer to offer an event that’s very popular with the general public,” said Jonathan Desroches, community officer with the City of Dieppe. “A number of kite flying- and circus-related activities are planned, including kite-building workshops, juggling and acrobatics. Also back are the ever-popular night kite-flying sessions, as well as the must-see Windjammers.”
Something new this year: a evening drone flight extravaganza. The flight is the first show of its kind to be offered in the province, and it replaces the traditional fireworks, in an effort to make the festival more eco-friendly.
Don’t miss the candy showers and running-of-the-bowl races taking place at various times throughout the weekend!
Admission is $5 per person and includes access to all activities and bouncy castles. Free for children 6 and under.
