Experience the circus at the ImaginAIR Festival
The program for the 2018 edition of the ImaginAIR Festival, to be held from July 26 to 29 at Dover Park, will feature the circus arts.
Festivities will include acrobatic and juggling workshops, fire shows, and even a brass band. There will also be something for kite enthusiasts with kite flyers from here and across North America on site along with Bimana and its solar balloons. The community stage will host a packed lineup featuring musical artists and shows for children that will be held every hour.
Headlining this year are Flam Chen and their guests, who, lifted by giant balloons, give mid-air performances that will take your breath away. Labokracboom and its "Chute Libre" show promise to wow you with gravity-defying acrobatics.
"Déplacer les idées," featuring a giant puppet that interacts with the crowd and provides a few philosophical reflections, is also on the program. Every day you can also take part in circus workshops with professionals to develop your skills.
"We are very pleased with the program for this edition of the ImaginAIR Festival. There will be lots of new things, and the circus artists are especially impressive. In the wake of last year's enthusiasm, we invited the Colombian troupe Bimana back. We also have a brass band and a DJ who will set the mood in the evenings. There's really quite a lot to see every day, and there's something for all tastes and ages," said Gabrielle Maillet, Community Officer with the City of Dieppe.
