Launch of ImaginAIR Festival in Dieppe
Dieppe, NB - This summer, the City of Dieppe will be presenting the very first edition of the ImaginAIR Festival from July 27-30. This family-oriented event will feature themes such as kites, the circus and culinary arts, as well as many spectacular activities that you will not want to miss! The activities will be held mainly at Dover Park, Place 1604, and the new Wingate hotel.
The ImaginAIR Festival was conceived by wanting to highlight events already present and appreciated in Dieppe: the circus and kites. By combining these two themes into the same event, the City of Dieppe was able to improve programming and include new activities. For example, the troop Bimana will perform with its giant puppets, its solar balloons and its spectacular kites for the first time in the Atlantic.
“The ImaginAIR Festival will be a must-see event for Dieppe residents, incorporating traditional themes of kites and circus into its programming. This year, we will be highlighting kites in order to continue the tradition of alternating with the kite festival of our twin city, Dieppe, France. In 2018, we will highlight the circus, which will also be a major part of the organization of the Jeux de la francophonie in 2021, as there is a circus component in those games as well,” explained Pauline Cormier, director of the Leisure Division at the City of Dieppe.
There will also be food events at the Wingate hotel and a family dance night featuring electronic music at Place 1604. The traditional night flying will be held again this year on Saturday night, outdoor shows will be presented on the community stage and free inflatable games will be available every day for toddlers.
The full program will be available in the coming weeks. Stay connected on our social networks to learn more about the surprises that the ImaginAIR Festival has in store for you!
