Charging stations set up for electric vehicles
DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe is pleased to announce that it has recently set up three charging stations for electric vehicles.
These three stations have been set up at Place 1604, at the Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre and the Arthur-J.-LeBlanc Centre.
“The number of electric vehicles being used in our area is still low. We therefore want to promote and accommodate those opting for this type of vehicle” says Mayor Yvon Lapierre.
People will be able to use the stations free of charge for the first year.
“We decided to offer this service free of charge for the first year in order to see how interested residents are in a project that aligns perfectly with our strategic plan, which is aimed at encouraging good practice and ensuring sustainable development”, says Mayor Yvon Lapierre.
People must obtain a card from the FLO (www.flo.ca) network to use these charging stations.
