Cycling for a good cause in Dieppe
DIEPPE, N.B. - Twenty-nine City of Dieppe employees will ride a giant bicycle to raise funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation on Wednesday, September 17, at 9 a.m.
The final amount raised by the employees will be announced at the starting point of the race. The route begins at Du Marché Street, then proceeds down Champlain Street and finishes at Tim Horton’s on Paul Street. Police and firefighters will escort the giant bicycle.
“We invite people to come out and support us!” explain the captains of the team, Marc Melanson, Chief Administration Officer for the City of Dieppe, and Michel Gaudet of Recreational Facilities Division. “We are all affected by this either directly or indirectly and we want to raise public awareness on leading an active and healthy lifestyle as well as to show our support for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.”
