Dieppe consulting residents on park and trail restrooms and drinking fountains
DIEPPE, NB — Dieppe is calling on city park and trail enthusiasts to share their views on public restrooms and drinking fountains. Parks and trails enhance residents’ well-being and quality of life. However, the more people are attracted to parks and trails, the more time they spend there and the more likely they are to need to use a restroom or access drinking water.
The municipality’s new recreation master plan therefore suggests the possibility of adding washrooms and drinking fountains to more outdoor facilities. This is also part of a focus on senior-friendly planning.
The municipality wants to be strategic about the location of future public restrooms and drinking fountains, which is why, with the help of a consultant, it is inviting residents to take part in a public consultation on the subject.
