Dieppe is gearing up for Family Day
DIEPPE, N.B. – Those who wish to spend time with family or friends will enjoy the city-wide activities the City of Dieppe has organized for Family Day on February 18. The City of Dieppe is offering diverse program of activities that will be sure to please everyone and that will provide an opportunity to get active in good company!
The Aquatic and Sports Centre will be offering a public swim at a special rate of $2 per person from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Another public swim will be offered in the afternoon, from 2 to 4 p.m. (regular rates), and DJ Madness will be on site to add to the fun.
The Boys and Girls Club of Dieppe is inviting people to test their skills on the climbing wall between noon and 5 p.m. for only $5 per family. Indoor shoes are mandatory.
Outdoor enthusiasts will also be able to enjoy free outdoor activities at the Rotary Park. From 1 to 4 p.m., sleigh rides will be offered on the trails. There will also be bonfires, a hot chocolate and marshmallow stand as well as snow painting.
Those who want to break out their skates can go to the skating oval at Place 1604 between 10 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., or to the Centenaire Arena for a preschool skating session from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. and public skating from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Remember to bring your helmet!
