Dieppe Loves Block Parties!
DIEPPE, N.B. — The City is inviting residents once again this year to take part in block parties to be held during the summer in municipal parks. Bouncy castles, BBQs and a host of activities for all ages will be available free of charge.
Block parties allow residents to meet new people and foster a sense of community.
The following parties are slated for the summer and will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.:
- July 2: Dolbeau Park
- July 16: Pélagie Park
- July 30: Avant-Garde Park
- August 13: Golf Park
- August 27: Gaspé Park
“We want Dieppe residents to feel they’re part of their community,” says Jonathan Desroches, a community officer with the City. “And if residents want to organize their own block parties, we can help!”
Yes, you, too, can get help from the City to organize a block party in your neighbourhood. Whether it’s a BBQ or an outdoor movie night, we can provide you with equipment such as barricades, tables, chairs and even a giant inflatable screen. All we ask is that the event be held in a municipal park or on a municipal or school playground.
Interested? Submit an application form available at dieppe.ca/blockparty no later than 28 days before your event.
