Dieppe pays tribute to its volunteers

Last night, the City of Dieppe held its annual “Volunteer Recognition Night” at the Arts and Culture Centre to thank 28 volunteers who work in various community organizations. The recipients were honoured with a VIP cocktail during which they had the opportunity to mingle and talk with each other and to meet political figures from the region. Next, a ceremony took place in the La Caserne auditorium of the Arts Centre, followed by a comedy show starring Martin Saulnier.

“We rethought the concept for the evening this year to make the event more dynamic. What we wished was a memorable evening for the volunteers to spend a pleasant evening, since this tribute evening is organized to thank them for their important contribution. From the volunteers’ reaction, it was a great success,” explained Julie Bélanger, Community Officer for the City of Dieppe.
