Dieppe Recognizes its Volunteers of the Year at Les Chalins Gala
DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe held a gala event on Wednesday, during National Volunteer Week, to recognize the contributions of the many volunteers who make Dieppe a great place to live, work and raise a family.
The evening, named after the Acadian word, chalins, which means a flash of light that illuminates the sky, highlights the contribution of volunteerism to our growing community, and the positive effects of the commitment of community organizations and their volunteers on the quality of life of residents.
“Dieppe is able to offer a dynamic community life precisely because of the contribution of volunteers in many sports, cultural and community activities,” said Mayor Yvon Lapierre. “Congratulations to all winners and nominees, and a huge thank you for your exceptional work and generous, unreserved dedication.”
