Dieppe launches its new website
DIEPPE, N.B.- The City of Dieppe unveiled its new website today. The more visual and modern website is easier to navigate and contains more details on municipal operations and issues than the previous version.
“We are very pleased to finally offer a website that meets the needs of residents and visitors,” said Isabelle LeBlanc, the city’s director of communications. “We have been working hard for several months to design a website based on the habits of our users. The information on our new website is better organized, more accurate and more concise.”
The dynamic homepage allows users to access essential information. “As soon as you land on our website, you see a number of different options, including three different calendars focusing on activities, events and meetings, as well as a section called ‘I want to...’, online payments, latest news and much more,” LeBlanc says.
“Creating a tool as large as a municipal website is a challenge,” she says. “Our goal was for users to find what they wanted within three clicks or less – and we succeeded. Residents are always looking for information right away. The key is to be able to present everything in one format that corresponds to all age groups.”
The new website is only a beginning. Additional modules will be added within the next year. “We have more new features that we want to implement before the end of 2012. Before adding even more functionality, we want to give residents an opportunity to get familiar with the new format. The new functions we are planning will prove to be very useful.”
Residents and visitors who want to subscribe to the City of Dieppe’s latest news, Facebook page and Twitter updates can do so through the new website.
The City of Dieppe welcomes comments on the new website that can still be found at dieppe.ca.
Happy browsing!
