Dieppe launches its 21-Day wellness challenge
DIEPPE, N.B. — As part of its Wellness Strategy and in collaboration with the Province of New Brunswick, Wellness Branch, Department of Social Development and the Vitalité Health Network, the City of Dieppe is organizing the 21-Day Challenge, from October 1 to 21.
This year’s challenge has four aspects: drinking water, eating fruits and vegetables, physical activity and mental health. Several activities are proposed to help people achieve their daily goals for each of these aspects. Passports will be distributed so that participants can easily track their progress.
“For us at the City of Dieppe, it’s very important to help promote an active lifestyle and healthy eating among our residents. This year, the Challenge has four parts and will last 21 days, a time frame that allows us to integrate new habits into our routine and to maintain them in the long term,” says Sonya Babineau, Community Officer, City of Dieppe.
Passports will be available at the Aquatic and Sports Centre, the Coop-IGA and the Library. Children are also encouraged to participate by drawing a picture that shows their efforts in each aspect. Several free activities are planned during the 21 days to help residents achieve their goals and to provide them with healthy lifestyle tips that they can integrate into their daily lives.
