Dieppe proud to host 44th Jeux de l’Acadie finals
DIEPPE, NB — At a reception held last Saturday during the Jeux de l’Acadie’s annual general meeting, the organization announced that Dieppe will host the Games’ 44th finals in 2025.
“As the largest Acadian city in the world and the largest French-speaking city outside of Quebec, Dieppe can be proud of its ability to host major events that leave a significant legacy for the community,” said Mayor Yvon Lapierre.
The municipality boasts a number of modern community facilities that play a variety of functions aimed at meeting the needs of all residents.
The City is well aware of the importance of hosting the Jeux de l’Acadie finals. Having hosted past finals in 1993 and 2002, as well as the regional games on numerous occasions, the municipality has witnessed the games’ positive impact on the community. A greater sense of volunteerism and Acadian pride, as well as significant economic spinoffs, are just a few of the factors motivating the City to host the finals in 2025.
“We are very much looking forward to providing the young participants with a memorable sporting and cultural experience in our municipality, where Acadian pride is alive and well,” added Mayor Yvon Lapierre.
Residents are invited to mark this important event in their calendars!
