Dieppe unveils programming for August 15 celebrations
DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe is inviting everyone to come celebrate National Acadian Day at Place 1604 on Tuesday, August 15. The evening will begin with a tintamarre, after which fans of Acadian music can enjoy performances by their favourite artists.
The tintamarre parade will begin at 5:45 p.m. and proceed on foot around Place 1604 where the artist Suzanne Cormier-Dupuis will unveil a work of art. The festivities will then move to the stage downtown, where artists will perform until midnight. The musical guests will be:
- Laurie LeBlanc (with Marie Stella)
- Les Gars du Sud (Jean-Marc Cormier, Daniel Goguen, Maurice Belliveau and Laurie LeBlanc)
- Trans Akadi
- Les Gars du Nord (Wildfred LeBouthiller, Danny Boudreau, Maxime McGraw and Jean-Marc Couture)
There will be activities starting at 1 p.m. in downtown Dieppe, including inflatable games, craft tables, and other activities and entertainment. This free event is for the entire family.
