Dieppe celebrates Leisure Day at the Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre
DIEPPE, N.B. – Leisure Day will be celebrated in grand style at the Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre on Saturday, June 15.
A variety of activities are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The day begins with a concert in the pool featuring Razzmatazz for Kids, water polo with tubes at 11 a.m., a public swim from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., an aquafitness session from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., as well as a community barbecue with inflatable games and face painting from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“We are also holding a three-person family obstacle race from 1:30 p.m. to 2:55 p.m. The minimum age for participating is eight,” said Luc Bujold, manager of the Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre.
A public swim with the Wibit structure takes place at 3 p.m. followed by a second public swim from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the movie Napoleon Dynamite (in English only) on the giant inflatable screen in the Aquatic Centre’s parking lot.
Cost is $2 per person for aquatic activities. Other activities are free of charge.
