Special Spring Garbage Collection
The City of Dieppe wishes to advise residents that the special spring garbage collection will take place between May 19 and 22. In light of the current situation, we are anticipating a higher volume than usual of items to be placed curbside for pickup. To avoid overloading the collection system, we are consequently asking residents to hold on to items that they do not absolutely need to dispose of.
For households with regular garbage collection on:
- TUESDAY, items must be placed curbside by 4 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19.
- WEDNESDAY, items must be placed curbside by 4 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20.
- FRIDAY, items must be placed curbside by 4 a.m. on Friday, May 22.
During special garbage collection, items should not be placed curbside or roadside more than seven days before the scheduled special collection date. Visit dieppe.ca for a complete list of restrictions.
Collection reminders:
- To facilitate collection, please sort items by type. For example, stack metal items together. Use boxes for smaller items.
- Since multiple trucks will be doing the pickup by type of material, do not add items after the deadline time indicated for your area as they may not be picked up.
- Construction, demolition or renovation materials (e.g. drywall, flooring, windows, toilets) will not be picked up.
- Wood will not be picked up with the exception of tree branches up to 2.5 cm (1 inch) in diameter tied in bundles not exceeding 60 cm (2 feet) in any dimension.
For a complete list of non-collectable waste, please see Schedule A of By-law C-2 at dieppe.ca.
