Special spring garbage collection and household hazardous waste day
DIEPPE, (NB) — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise residents that the special spring garbage collection to households with regular weekly garbage collection on:
- TUESDAY, will be held on Tuesday, May 17
- WEDNESDAY, will be held on Wednesday, May 18
- FRIDAY, will be held on Friday, May 20
During special garbage collection, items should not be placed at curbside or roadside more than seven days before the scheduled special collection. Visit dieppe.ca for a complete list of restrictions.
Household hazardous waste day will be held on Saturday, May 14, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. The Mobile Unit will pick up your hazardous waste, free of charge, in the parking lot at the Operations Centre situated at 100 Rufin Street. Only hazardous waste from households will be accepted.
Household hazardous waste can be found in virtually every home, but they are not acceptable municipal solid waste. These items cause fires, harm people coming into contact with them and cause damage to machinery.
Please note that medications, syringes and needles are medical waste and can be dropped off at most local pharmacies.
