Dog Swim in the Pool at the Aquatic Centre
The Aquatic Centre will offer for the first time a swim for dogs on Sunday, August 18 in preparation for its five-week closure where the recreational pool will be entirely renovated, the Centre wanted to take this opportunity to offer a special activity to the community by letting the dogs play in the water. The membrane replacement of the recreational pool allows for this activity which will be offered only once to dog owners.
The swim for the small dogs will take place from 4:05 to 4:35 p.m. and the large dogs will be admitted from 4:40 to 5:10 p.m. Registration is required online at dieppe.ca with the owner’s profile number or in person at the Aquatic and Sports Centre and places are limited. The fee is $5.
Rules
1. Proof of rabies vaccination is mandatory before the dog can enter the pool. If you’re a resident of Dieppe and your dog is already registered with the City, you are exempted to present this proof.
2. Please wash, rinse and brush your dog before and after the swim.
3. Being that the pool is salt water and that the dogs might drink or swallow the water, dogs with diabetes are not allowed to swim.
