Heritage Week activities in Dieppe
Heritage Week will be celebrated from February 12 to 19 under the theme Heritage Now!, and the City of Dieppe is organizing several activities with a historical and cultural flavour.
Storytime at the Library
Date: February 13, 10:15 a.m.
Place: Dieppe Public Library
Theme: Aboriginal story
Age: 3 to 5 years old accompanied by a parent
Language: French
Number of participants: 20 children maximum
Storytime is an animated reading activity that includes stories, nursery rhymes, games, and arts and crafts. Discover the magic of books in a fun and friendly atmosphere! Registration is required and can be done in person at the counter or by contacting the library at 877.7945.
Heritage book, music and film exhibition
Date: February 12 to 17
Place: Dieppe Public Library
Come and explore books, music and films about the community's and the province's heritage and history.
Collective art
Date: February 15, 2 to 5 p.m.
Come and participate in a collective work of art with artist Suzanne Cormier-Dupuis to celebrate National Flag of Canada Day. The work, which will be installed on February 16, will represent the Canadian flag made with an old recycled frame and eyeglass lenses. When the frame is opened, it represents how we look at our current heritage and the importance of making a difference in our lives to create a significant heritage for our descendants.
