Activities and performances offered as part of the Dieppe Kite International Festival
DIEPPE, NB — Numerous kite flyers will flock from throughout the world to attend the 12th edition of the Dieppe Kite International Festival from August 10-14 at Dover Park.
There will be several musical performances for all tastes, a kids’ zone with bouncy castles, candy showers and a creation tent that draws more than 3,000 children each year. Kite demonstrations, Rokkaku fighting, stunt kites and giant kites will also be featured.
“Again this year, there will be many kites of all colours and of all imaginable forms. Here’s to hoping for a windy day!”, says Philippe Losier, Chairman, Organizing Committee.
Two free activities you won’t want to miss on Friday, August 12, i.e. indoor kite flying at the Arthur-J.-LeBlanc Centre starting at 9 a.m., and night kite flying beginning at dusk where approximately forty kite flyers will fly their kites to the sound of music and the movement of light, giving a fantastic show at Dover Park.
