March Break activities in Dieppe
DIEPPE, N.B. — From skating to swimming, the City of Dieppe is hosting a number of family activities at its recreational facilities, its pool and arenas during the week of March 3-7.
The Centenaire and Arthur-J.-LeBlanc Arenas are offering a special family skating schedule, as well as hockey and ringette. The Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre is also featuring a special schedule (there will be no swimming classes or aquatic activities).
“I invite residents to enjoy the new outdoor skating rink at Place 1604 located behind City Hall, as well as the many activities at Rotary St-Anselme Park,” said Dieppe Mayor Yvon Lapierre.
Rotary St-Anselme Park features a sliding hill, outdoor skating, a rink for ringette and hockey, cross-country ski trails, snowshoeing, as well as walking trails. Sleigh rides are available for private groups at a cost of $120 for 30 minutes (20 people), which includes a room for two hours, depending on availability. Free sleigh rides are also available on Sunday between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m and last for approximately 10 minutes. A walking trail is also available at Dover Park.
While having outdoor fun at Place 1604, don’t miss Stephen LeBlanc on stage on Friday, March 7. Residents are invited to gather for music, hot chocolate, bonfires and free access to the new outdoor rink.
