10th edition of Dieppe KITE International
DIEPPE, N.B. — The 10th edition of Dieppe KITE International takes to the skies tomorrow at Dover Park with activities for the entire family.
More than 50 kite fliers from Canada, England, U.S., Netherlands, Tasmania, France, Israel, India, Germany, Haiti and Colombia will meet at the park tomorrow.
Each day will feature demonstrations of single-line kites, inflatable kites, kites created on-site, including free flights and acrobatic flights. As well, children will be able to colour kites in the Atlantic Superstore creation tent. Don’t miss it!
Each day will feature a running of the bols race, as well as a candy shower and Rokkaku combat for the children.
The Dr. Martin Braces Community Zone will open its doors at 1 p.m. on Wednesday with inflatable games and shows for children starring Monsieur Crapaud, Mad Science, Fééli Tout, Maritime Reptiles, Rémi Boudreau, Denis Léger, Old School, Art Richard and much more.
Not to be missed is the night flight beginning at dusk on Thursday, August 14. Approximately 40 participants will fly their kites to the sound of music and the movement of light in an amazing ballet accompanied by the songs of Cat Stevens and Jean-Pierre Ferland.
