Back to SearchDIEPPE (NB) — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise residents that work is underway at the pumping station and reservoir of the Airport Zone and will continue until the end of October. The work consists mainly of equipment maintenance as well as cleaning and inspection of the reservoir, and is essential to maintain the quality of service.
Residents and businesses affected by the work are located on Airport, Appleton, Barnes, Copp, Emmanuel and Tower streets, on Léger Avenue, Maxime Drive and from 1528 to 2269 Champlain Street. Please refer to the attached map for more details.
During this period, you may notice a drop in pressure and a slight colouration in the water. If this is the case, run your cold-water tap until the water becomes clear. Please also check the water colour before using your washing machine to avoid discolouring your laundry. Unless otherwise specified, coloured water does not pose any danger to your health.
If your building has an automatic sprinkler system, a drop in pressure may set off the alarm. We recommend that you contact your alarm system supplier to inform them of the work in your area.
During this work, we encourage residents to limit watering of lawns, asphalt and gardens, and washing of cars in order to maintain an adequate pressure level in the system.
